Welcome to the website of the Journées 2026 of the French Society of Astronomy & Astrophysics (SF2A)!
The annual SF2A conference will be held from June 22nd to 26th at the University Grenoble-Alpes (see Practical informations).
Mornings are dedicated to the plenary sessions (scientific reviews, foresight presentations, General Assembly…), while the afternoons are dedicated to workshops organised by the Thematical Actions (AT), Specific Actions (AS) of CNRS/INSU, and the community.
Talks and posters must be uploaded on your maSF2A account at least 24h before the presentation in order to allow time for transfer on to the conference computers.

Code of conduct
People participating in the event agree to follow the code of conduct of the SF2A Conference.
During the conference, the two ombudsperson are: Eric Josselin (eric.josselin@umontpellier.fr) and Maïca Clavel (maica.clavel@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr).
Do not hesitate to contact them in case of problems or for any question about the CoC.
Important dates 2026
- February 16th: Opening of registration (on your MaSF2A account, “Registration, Conference” tab)
- March 2nd: grants application deadline for participation of distant post-docs/PhD students
- March 9th: expression of interest deadline for for childare services
- April 10th: abstract submission deadline for the workshops (on your MaSF2A account, “Registration, Conference” tab; and then “My abstract” by selecting the workshop)
- May 5th: publication of the final program! (Accepted talks and posters must be uploaded on your MaSF2A account (Registration, Conference) at least 24h before the presentation in order to allow time for transfer on to the conference computers.
- May 12th end of early-fees registration (100/150 euros), end of free registration for workshop leads and plenary speakers
- June 2nd: end of registration (140/190 euros), end of free registration for students
- June 12th: end of online registration (30/70 euros)
No registration after this date (including on-site) will be accepted, under penalty of an additional late registration fee (on–site 190 euros / on-line 90 euros).
Important – Security instructions
-Please allow time for security checks at the entrance to the conference site.
The amphitheaters at the University Grenoble Alpes (UGA) is subject to Vigipirate regulations, which impose strict access controls at the entrance, including possible searches. These controls may result in some waiting time. We therefore recommend to arrive at the entrance at least 25 minutes before the start of the presentations.
-Access to the conference with suitcases or bulky bags will not be permitted.
In order to facilitate entry checks, luggage will not be allowed in the amphitheaters.
Furthermore, the UGA and the SF2A cannot be held responsible for the safekeeping of your personal belongings.
We therefore invite all participants to leave their luggage at their hotel on the day of arrival or departure, or to use a left-luggage service (Several lockers are available in the city centre and near the train station)
